The Evenstart Children’s Foundation provides education and therapy to preschool children between 3 and 5 years of age who come from families challenged by poverty, abuse, trauma or neglect. Our children are bussed in for a 5 day a week morning or afternoon program. We provide them with 2 meals during their time at school. Most children have a developmental delay so we also provide Speech and Language therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Play Therapy. We have an extensive home visitation and family support program as well as a Christmas Hamper program to assist the families. Our goal is to bring the children to the same developmental level as their peers by grade, to give them an Evenstart.
